Following concerns raised by local parents and a follow-up visit to the Edwin Lobo Centre in Luton, South West Bedfordshire MP Andrew Selous asked the Prime Minister yesterday what more the NHS can do to recruit community paediatricians.
Speaking afterwards, Andrew said:
“I was very impressed with the staff I met at the Edwin Lobo Centre, but the waiting lists are too long, and more community paediatricians would help bring them down. We have many more doctors in the NHS, and we need more of them in this specialty to help children get the support they need at the time they need it.”
