The holiday food and activities programme in Central Bedfordshire signed up around 2,500 children over the summer. Fun games and sports were on offer as well as a healthy freshly cooked meal.
South West Bedfordshire MP, Andrew Selous, went along to Vandyke Upper School to join in a fast moving hockey practice with coaches from the hockey club and the school. Children with special educational needs and disabilities were very much included and a good time was had by everyone.
Andrew Selous said “It is a long time since I have played hockey and I really enjoyed the afternoon as did the children. It is great to have this provision available in the holidays.”
