South West Bedfordshire MP Andrew Selous visited London Luton airport (LLA) this week to discuss concerns about aircraft noise over Leighton Buzzard. During the course of the visit LLA showed flight path data from 16 July 2015 and from 15 August 2016 showing a significant reduction in the number of flights over central Leighton Buzzard and Linslade.
Andrew Selous said “I did point out that the August 2016 flight path information still shows considerable overflying of the south west corner of the town where there has been significant new housing development. It is possible that the government’s noise and air space policy consultation may lead to further reductions in overflying of the town in the future and this is an issue I will follow carefully.”
