Andrea Leadsom, the Minister for primary care, public health, and the early years came to Dunstable Children’s Centre on Thursday to see the fantastic work being done by staff and volunteers to help children have the best start for life. She spoke to parents, staff and volunteers.
She then visited the Grove View Health and Care Hub, meeting GPs, primary care staff and patients. She was particularly pleased with the work of the frailty service, which will also be rolled out in Leighton Buzzard and surrounding areas.
South West Bedfordshire MP, Andrew Selous, who accompanied her on the visit said,
“I spend an enormous amount of time fighting for healthcare provision for my constituents, so it was good to have the minister with us to show her what is working well and what our challenges are in this area which has seen huge housing growth.”
