South West Bedfordshire MP Andrew Selous has backed the residents of Tebworth and Wingfield’s campaign to keep The Queen’s Head Pub, currently owned by Charles Wells Ltd as a community asset. The 2013 Localism legislation enables councils to list buildings as community assets and The Queen’s Head Pub has been registered as a community asset with Central Bedfordshire Council.
Andrew Selous said;
“I am delighted to back Tebworth and Wingfield’s campaign to keep The Queen’s Head going as a community asset. Too many village pubs have already closed and I strongly support these two villages in wanting to keep The Queen’s Head open selling beer from local brewers as well as food from local suppliers. The pub could also house a small local shop, have IT facilities, a Library and other community facilities. I will do everything I can to help Tebworth and Wingfield secure the future of The Queen’s Head.”
