South West Bedfordshire MP Andrew Selous has asked all his constituents to make sure that they report all crime to the Police in order to make sure that our area receives the appropriate Police response.
Andrew Selous MP has today shown their support for British farming at Back British Farming Day in Westminster, recognising the crucial role farmers play in producing food and caring for the countryside. Andrew also recently visited the harvest of a local farm.
South West Bedfordshire MP told Police Minister, Nick Hurd, that the unfair treatment of Bedfordshire Police’s funding, which has gone on since 2004, is completely unsupportable and needs to be dealt with now.
Given the extra time we have tonight, I am happy for other Members not only to intervene, but to make their own contributions after I have spoken, because the Minister will still have plenty of time to respond to all the concerns expressed around the House.
Andrew Selous, MP for South West Bedfordshire added a splash of pink to his usual attire to support Breast Cancer Now’s wear it pink fundraiser, which will take place on Friday 19 October to raise money for vital breast cancer research.
Figures released from the House of Commons’ Library show that the number of unemployed claimants in South West Bedfordshire in July 2018 was 555. This represents a rate of 1.0% of the economically active population aged 16-64.
